Full official description
The contract aims at supporting the African Statistical System (ASS) in its task of producing reliable and comparable statistics that facilitate the African integration progress by providing evidence for political decision making.It more concretely aims at providing technical support (in selected domains) to the African Union (AU) Statistical Office (STATAFRIC) in its mission to implement, in collaboration with Regional Economic Communities and development partners, the African Charter on Statistics and the Strategy for the Harmonization of Statistics in Africa (SHaSA II). To enable this, the capacity of the institutions at the three levels of the African Statistical System (continental, regional and national) will be enhanced.The contractor will facilitate and ensure regular and efficient communication and visibility of the activities carried out at the three levels of the African Statistical System by the different stakeholders.
