Description
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) is planning to launch a call for tender for the provision of research services. The subject of this call for tenders is “Overview of climate change-related risks and their implications for occupational safety and health” (3 Lots). The contracting authority is carrying out a major research activity focusing on climate change and OSH during the period 2026-2028. The work includes investigating climate change-related risks, their impacts on workers’ health and measures to prevent or manage these risks. The activity takes a holistic approach to the consideration of the impact of climate change on OSH, exploring how different climate drivers intersect to generate or amplify a wide range of occupational risks. It builds upon previous work by the contracting authority on the topic, such as the foresight study on OSH in green jobs, the foresight study on the circular economy and its effects on OSH, the guidance for workplaces on heat at work, and the findings from the ‘OSH Pulse 2025’ survey on OSH in the era of climate and digital change. In this context, this call for tenders invites bids for the provision of services aimed at collecting information and developing knowledge on the following subjects: 1 Climate change, psychosocial risks and mental health 2 Overview of policy and regulation on climate change and OSH in the European Union 3 Facts and figures on climate change and OSH: statistical evidence and measurement challenges. Expected deliverables are research reports, case study reports, policy briefs and presentations. The maximum total budget available for the contract to be awarded is EUR 139,990 (excluding VAT). Lot 1: EUR 49,995 Lot 2: EUR 40,000 Lot 3: EUR 49,995 It is possible to express interest as an individual organisation or a consortium.
