Disclaimer: the description of the nature and scope of the services and supplies of the Galileo Service Operator II (GSOp II) procurement is only indicative, aimed at outlining the concept in broad terms and it may need substantial adjustments. Therefore it shall not be considered final nor binding. The procedure is aimed at procuring services/supplies to ensure continuation of (most of the activities) currently being performed by the Galileo Service Operator (GSOp) under EUSPA contract (GSA/CD/14/14). The GSOpII contractor will be responsible for the performance of Galileo Service Operations, during the period January 2027 to December 2036, in order to ensure the provision of the Galileo Services. The Galileo Service Operations activities to be performed within this contract, include, at high level, the following activities: (i) operations of the Galileo Core Infrastructure (including the Galileo Space Segment and the Galileo Control and Mission Segments) deployed at the GCCs and at the relevant Remote Sites; (ii) operations of the GNSS Service Centre (GSC) Infrastructure, significantly for what concerns SiS activities; (iii) performance of the Infrastructure Logistic Support (ILS), including all levels of maintenance, of the Galileo Core Infrastructure and of the GSC Infrastructure; (iv) provision of enabling services required for the operations of the above infrastructure, including Hosting Services, Communication Services (i.e. the GDDN – Galileo Data Dissemination Network), Timing Services ((i.e. the TSP – Timing Service Provider) and Geodetic Services (i.e. the GRSP – Geodetic Reference Service Provider); (v) support to the evolution activities of the Galileo System, especially for what concerns the Infrastructure that will be operated under the contract and the launch and initial testing of new satellites; and (vi) support to security (including cybersecurity) of the Galileo System, especially for what concerns the Infrastructure that will be operated under the contract.
